It’s market week, and we are sneaking sushi in between meetings. Our favorite sushi spot in the neighborhood is Umi, a cute little spot off of 31st st. We highly recommend their spicy tuna, Philly, and yellowtail jalapeno rolls.

Ok, we actually wish that the lounge could ready itself. In reality, I have been making a mess unloading boxes all week and Paula has been patiently organizing my messes. And today, everything came together. Market week, here we come!
Below please find a picture of our theme robe for February market. We are literally loving this robe as the perfect representation of what the dream lounge is all about- dreamy, cozy comfort. We feel like our little mannequin is on her way for a major day of spa pampering. (Just what we are dreaming of as we prep for market!)
We are excited to start our Pinterest pinning of favorite fashion and design things! Check out a look we know is about to take off once winter warms up a bit. The fur-trimmed barn jacket. http://pinterest.com/pin/42784265179785256/
A ban on sleepwear in public? And just when we were obsessed with the latest LV-inspired satin pjs in public thing. Gawker’s faux debate on the issue is priceless! Meanwhile, my favorite pjs in public moment might be this fashion moment. I just love Rachel Bilson’s sweet eskimo print thermals.
Today we are talking about new shapes at the Dream Lounge. We are really loving the whole cape look that was going on for Fall 2011, and we have been trying to think about how to continue this trend through the spring months. We feel like the caftan-cape hybrid is the perfect way to wear this figure flattering style. Paula’s latest purchase is this adorable crocheted top. Check out the swingy shape. We heart.
Yesterday Paula texted me with one message- let’s do our blog post about color! We have just been obsessed with color at Dream Lounge. Look for us to bring some amazing new colors to Spring 2013. We are feeling so inspired by watercolor pastels, as seen in Louis Vuitton’s S/S 2012 show. See our very favorite watercolor combo below!
When I was in college, when girls in my sorority spent a semester abroad, they would inevitably return to school wearing fabulous scarves and would promptly de-sister. It was as if seeing the world meant that they 1) could no longer participate in the Greek system and 2) that they had to adopt a European flair- i.e. the strategically wrapped scarf. When in Paris over the holidays, neckscarves were alive and well. On top of leather jackets. Wrapped over sweaters. Worn in all textures and colors. While the scarf trend peaked and then valleyed in the States, I predict that it will continue to be important to the accessories market for some time if only because scarves do project an image of fashion worldliness.
This might seem like a blast from the ’80s, but Jazzercise is back, and as Paula can attest, it is the updated answer to Zumba. One thing we love to discuss here at Dream Lounge is how to look as slim as possible. Paula wore her favorite black yoga pants to her jazzercise class because they were perfect for exercising and for looking slim. We love yoga pants for their multi-purpose uses- lounge, shopping, and now jazzercise. Our favorite versions? These Lulu Lemons.
Always up for lunch, The Dream Lounge is thrilled that Le Pain Quotidien opened one of its communal French mini-bistros in our neighborhood. Located just under a massive awning on 34th and Park, this is the perfect spot for a light lunch on a cold day. Make sure to try their lattes- amazing, warm, and the perfect kick to a sleepy morning. We are still feeling Parisienne after our overseas jaunt!
